New York, NY, August 10, 2022 — Risk services advisory Sigma7 today named Deborah Rimmler General Counsel, a new executive leadership position for the rapidly scaling company. Ms. Rimmler joined Sigma7 from law firm Dentons, where she was a counsel and the firm’s global compliance officer.

In her new position, Ms. Rimmler will oversee Sigma7’s legal and compliance operations helping the firm to ensure that its rapid growth is anchored in scalable best practices with a strong security, privacy and operational foundation. She will deliver a legal posture that supports business growth and work collaboratively with the Sigma7 leadership team to develop an innovative and comprehensive risk management platform.

At Dentons, the world’s largest law firm, Ms. Rimmler provided security and privacy advice to Dentons and its complex global clients. Believing that the optimal delivery of legal services is in partnership with advances in technology, Rimmler negotiated collaborative agreements with privacy breach notification, employee security evacuation, and compliance control vendors, among others.

Earlier in her career, Ms. Rimmler was General Counsel of Nexant, a global energy services and software firm where she built global programs in ethics, anti-corruption, renewable energy certificate management, as well as managing all day-to-day legal operations. Rimmler started her career as an attorney at the U.S. Trade and Development Agency and led an initiative to partner with OPIC and U.S. EXIM Bank to manage the Caspian Finance Center in Ankara, Turkey.
